I am new to the forum: 64, 5'8", 185, skiing for 50 years, mostly free, but occasionally in the course. My best is 6 @ 15 off, 30mph several years ago, but I can usually struggle through at 28mph (ok, down to 26 if it's been a while). I now have fairly consistent access to a course (when the river cooperates) and want to upgrade to a more suitable ski. If I could ever get up to 32 or 34 mph I would be thrilled. I have skiied a 66" LaPoint Obrien for decades (the same ski Bob LaPoint uses in his "Advanced Slalom" tape with Mike Syderhound). The last ski I purchased was a Maha Longboard -- I have been skiing bigger water and barefooting for the past 10 or so years and have been out of the loop re current slalom ski technology and selection. I need a ski that will work for me at my level, which I gather may not be the hottest lick for those who run 34/36mph at shorter lengths. I am open to suggestions. Thanks.

For that level of skiing I LOVE the Connelly F1X, and you'd be probably looking at a 67" ski. I'd contact sales@h2oproshop.com and see what they would recommend.
radar senate
Sound like you and I are at the same level. I'm 15 off at 28mph. I got the Radar Senate last year and I'm happy with it. It is marketed for beginner to intermediate in the course up to 34 mph. It is priced more reasonably than the high end skis. The guys at h2osmosis are very helpful and you can try out any ski via their demo program. Other than that you might be able to find a used higher-end ski on Ski-it-again.
