I don't know if this link will work but here's a side view of one of my full passes on Saturday. Love this perspective! Side view, full pass 9/12/09

Great job! Was that shot with the "Flip" camera? What I was saying is the Wiley front binding has about 3/4" worth of plate behind the heel. It has the heel rubber, the horseshoe behind that, and a little bit of plate behind that. So it limits how close the rear binding can be to it. The HO has zero plate behind the heel rubber. A picture's worth a 1000 words on this one. I just didn't take one. I used to be on Wileys and always sawed off one or two holes worth of the rear binding to allow it to move further forward.

I've had a Trakker since about June But, thankfully I have not had the budget for a new cam. or I'm sure I would have screwed up and bought the "Binford XL 2000 ++" from Tim the tool man Taylor! -and been very sorry! I've even had Tower speakers since May. But, No Amp budget either!!! Thanx for the info! The Zi8 is awesome. I saw one the other day. Stupid cheap too. About $200 with the optional remote control.

What makes the Zi8 better?
Does it mount well on the Trakker? (tripod screw?)
Would you recommend the remote?

Would you recommend the remote? Way bigger screen, higher resolution image, removable battery, removable media storage (SD Cards), HDMI direct output, wall charger included, aux mic input, adjustable picture quality/resolution, etc. The list goes on and on. It's a full-on steamroller over the FlipHD, unfortunately for us Flip owners.

Make sure it has a return policy, if you are thinking of it for use with the trakker. the Zi8 has CMOS chip for a sensor and CMOS has been known to not handle vibration well(rolling shutter). I have a Canon HD camera w/CMOS and I have never been able to get a good picture mounted on the trakker(not the trakkers fault).

I remember the below post on PSC and that's exactly what he had said... (Ahh crud, nothin's ever easy is it?)

How'd it feel? RFF or LFF? Felt pretty smooth. I spun the boat after that and ran it again. RFF. I love watching the spray from a distance. Almost looks like I know what I'm doing.

Amazing set this morning. PB's are falling as quickly as I'm making them. Details to follow on the front page. This ski is completely killer at this point. You won't believe what I ran this morning.

Little windy this morning. Little tired from my many, many runs yesterday. Full pass at 32 off the dock, and some weak runs at 34 due to lack of energy.
