Not really, this weekend was the first REAL winter I think we've had this year. It was 17F on my way to work this morning, but living here you're never more than a couple of weeks away from a day in the 70s. I was itching to go this weekend, but 30 mph winds and highs in the 40s took care of that.
I got my copy of 43at43 on Friday and I liked it more than I thought I would. I've known Jeff and his brother John a long time and probably skied in somewhere between 30 to 60 tournaments with them (a bunch, but I really have no idea how many), but there was a lot about Jeff I did not know. Neither one of was would be described as outgoing personalities. This film shows a more personal side of Jeff and goes behind the scenes of his very, very early days skiing, and a lot of behind the scenes of some of the biggest storys/accomplishments of his skiing career. It's a pretty cool story and Jeff and his family are some of the best people you could ever hope to get to know.
Also picked up a copy of 43@43. Not bad at all although I would have liked Jeff to have run that full 41 pass!
Almost makes me want to try to get 1@43 at some point this summer. Looks easy but I bet the difficulty is off the charts.
