I like this. This is exactly what I'm finally discovering on my own. I can say that is making things a lot easier in my case.

Don't know....Confucious maybe?
For whatever reason I think alot of skiers, especially myself, fall too easily into the thought that the way to make up time in the course is in the turns. The turns are the key. What I am finding is just the opposite-the key is in the wake crossings "strong behind the boat" or "progressive edge". When I ski best the driver can hardly tell I'm there and the tail swing of the boat is almost zero. When I am 'fighting' the boat, there is a huge jerk on the boat from the buoy and I feel like I am fighting only to loose that ground at the wake's centerline.
Now, why isn't it as easy to ski what you can type? Both are done with mind and body right?.....confused?
Maybe it's because what we see (or think we see) is different from what we are being told. When I watch skiing, I think I see hard agressive turns and hard aggressive loads, but anytime I try to ski that way, it doesn't feel so good. Progessive and clean seems to feel the best, ski keeps consistent speed, no abrupt speed variations.
My best skiing always feels like I didn't do anything.
