Hmph. Says video is private.
Should be fixed.
Looks to me like your trouble starts with the turn-in. I see a tail-heavy turn-in which is most likely costing you width into 1-ball. Because of this you kinda ski right to 1-ball. Try to get a more balanced position in your turn-in so that you can use more of the ski to initiate a nice carve through the gates. For some of the guys on this site, just moving the hips first to initiate the direction change through the gates does this along with a nice balanced stance in the glide.
I see a lot of stuff I liked, particularly your position coming into 1 and 3.
Highlights:
14 seconds: the turn-in I'm talking about
16 seconds: I love this pre-turn position
22 seconds: I love this pre-turn position
What Joel said. Everything is fast and narrow right from the turn-in. This causes you to rotate or dump right at the ball. You ought to have more width and space before each ball. Speed? Line length? I don't know what it is but I would just slow it down to where you can run it and work on all the basic timing and body position stuff.
BTW, are the the RipNsix that sent me a t-shirt a bunch of years ago?
I'm running 36 mph at 28' off.
And thanks guys. i know i ski narrow.. just not sure how to correct it. I'll work on some more video on the next session.
Thanks again.
1 - Don't hang out in the trough behind the boat. Your negative one should always start at the whitewash. This is likely preventing you from getting high enough on the boat for your roll-in for the gate.
2 - Take some video going in the other direction so you are not silhouetted against the sun. I would like to see more of your body position but everything is dark.
Where do you start at? What lines/speeds do you run at what percentage?
